She is currently the CEO at SA Finance and Accounting Inc, a firm known as the leading provider in the region. Specializing in corporate and investment tax planning, the firm utilizes financial and accounting strategies to assure compliance of tax laws and that vital tax advantages available are implemented. As the CEO, Carol Sousa focus in the last 10 years has been to assist the Brazilian community to achieve strategic extraordinary results in their businesses execution and tax planning.
Carol inspires businesses to escape financial and accounting mediocrity to achieve tangible results igniting real tax savings results and financial planning strategies for businesses and/or investments.
Before establishing SA Finance & Accounting in 2014, Carol Sousa dedicated her experience for nearly 15 years to a small firm where at an early age of 30 she became the firm’s CFO when the firm transitioned to a multi-national firm.
Carol’s additional accomplishments include but are not limited to; Honored with “MVP” award, “International Women of Leadership and Courage” award, “Purpose Driven Company” award, and “Excellence Award” by CFBACC among others. Her contribution as a CFO to a firm’s growth from local to a national powerhouse by utilizing tactful financial and accounting strategies to generate a strong financial foundation for continued sustainability shows a spotlight. In 2023 she introduced and launched the “SA Summit” to Brazilian businessmen and entrepreneurs for continuous economic growth in central Florida. And most recent, being nominate as President to lead the CFBACC (Central Florida Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce).
Being a citizen of US, Brazil & Portugal Carol’s international perspective gives her a deep appreciation of diversity in all its forms. She is committed to contribute to the building blocks of the strong Brazilian community.
Carol a Christian believer born in Sao Paulo, Brazil moved to the US at age 5 where she built her life. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance and an accounting Master’s degree, official IRS licensed agent and is currently sitting for the CPA examination process. She lives in Winter Garden, FL with her husband since 2008. When she’s not helping with financial and accounting strategies, Carol loves to Travel and is dedicated to animal cruelty awareness and defense.
